Bruin Supermileage is a student-run project that designs, builds, and races highly energy-efficient internal combustion engine and battery electric vehicles. We compete in the collegiate Shell Eco-Marathon Americas event each year against teams from throughout the Western Hemisphere. Through this experience, our team members learn real-world engineering and leadership skills while encouraging environmental sustainability. The nature of the project necessitates an interdisciplinary team composition, including mechanical, electrical, materials science, and computer science engineers, among others.
